Gold Titanic Necklace Stolen From Tivoli Gardens

Posted on October 4, 2011

A gold necklace recovered from the Titanic shipwreck was stolen from an exhibition at the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen.  The necklace was once the property of first-class passenger Eleanor Wildener.

Tivoli managers believe that one of the exhibit visitors forced access to the display case to steal the necklace.  “We have got photos of all the visitors who visited the Exhibition on the day. We have sent all the photos to the police. We know this must be on one of them,” he explained.

Tivoli is offering a reward equal to £880 for information leading to recovery of the necklace.
