The A&CHL Newsletter: The FSIA Commerical Activities Exception and Cultural Property as a Human Right

Posted on September 25, 2011

The American Bar Association Art & Cultural Heritage Law Committee has released its Summer 2011 Newsletter, which is available for free download here.  Of particular interest are the articles on the commercial activities exception of the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act and one on State v. Rubin (written before the newest decision).

There is also an article on whether civil litigation will be able to advance cultural property as a human right, which I’d be particularly interested in hear comments on in light of my recent paper, The Human Right to Cultural Property, accepted for publication by the Michigan State University Journal of International Law.
